Who we are
Hanatech Inc. ("Hanatech", "we") is an IT company at 380 Bedford Hwy, Units 309 & 311, Halifax, Nova Scotia B3M 2L4, Canada. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, for residents of Quebec, the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25).

What we collect
- Contact form and email: your name, company, email, phone number and message.
- Website analytics, only if you accept cookies: pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location and how you arrived, collected through Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics.
- Client services: information needed to deliver IT services under a service agreement, which that agreement governs.
The Cyber Risk Check tool runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are not sent to us.

Consent and cookies
Analytics and any technology that could identify, locate or profile you are turned off by default. They run only if you choose "Accept" in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page.
Sharing and storage
We don't sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate, such as our website and email host and, with your consent, Google for analytics. Some providers may store information outside Quebec or Canada, where it may be subject to local laws. We require providers to protect it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to two years after our last contact, and client records for as long as the law requires. We then delete or anonymize them.

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. See Trust & Security.
Your rights
You can ask to access or correct your personal information, withdraw consent, or, where Quebec law applies, receive it in a structured, commonly used technological format. Contact us at the address above. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in Quebec, the Commission d'accès à l'information.

We'll post any changes to this policy on this page with a new date.
