Ali Nafarieh - PhD

CEO & Founder


Ali, an Electrical Engineer with a focus on the IT field, holds MSc in Electrical Engineering and PhD in Internet working Engineering from Dalhousie University. He has more than 15 years of experience in the field of IT, and over these years, he has led many local and international IT projects. Ali has also served as a senior lecturer at Dalhousie University in the Internet working Engineering program for more than 5 years. He founded Hanatech Inc. in 2013 to provide edge technology to SMBs and Commercial and Residential buildings. Ali has led the company to serve as an IT MSP in the region and facilitated a strong relationship between the company and enterprise level partners, local IT solution providers, and local community developers and construction companies. During his leadership in Hanatech, he has introduced advanced IT services for SMBs, cloud-based technologies, SDN-based architecture migration, and IoT-enabled environments.

Ali Hamidi - MSc, MBA

CTO & Founder


Ali is also a founder of Hanatech. An MSc in Electrical Engineering, and an MBA, Ali brings 20 years of experience in the IT and Networking field. Ali has taken many professional courses and holds many certifications, most notably with Cisco network technologies. Ali has significant experience in a broad range of industries including manufacturing, banking systems and solutions, network design and implementation, network security, datacenter design and implementation, multiple IP Telephony systems: Cisco and Asterisk ie (Trixbox, Elastix), Fiber Optics, LAN and WAN architectures, and wireless networks. With his decades if experience in IT, across all technologies, Ali brings a creative approach to solving any technical problem Hanatech encounters, and helps our clients deliver significant value through technology to their customers.

Chuck Lienaux - CPA, CMA

CFO


Chuck is a seasoned Technology Finance professional, with 20 years of experience in roles of increasing responsibility with Nortel Networks, Avaya, and most recently with Cisco Systems, where he was Cisco’s Canadian CFO until April 2017. Chuck has worked, and maintained great relationships, with all forms of customers over the years, from SMB to Enterprise, including the Big 5 banks, and Public Sector: Federal, Provincial and Municipal governments. Chuck has also developed strong relationships with all market channels, including direct Customers, Partners and Service Providers like Bell (Aliant), Telus, Rogers and Eastlink. Through his years in the industry, Chuck has seen hundreds of different Technologies make their way through the product life-cycle, and he has a deep understanding of the economics of this amazing industry.
